TELL IT! Presentation Skills for Writers

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30  1:00-4:00 PM

THE RETURN OF… TELL IT: Presentation Skills for Writers (also for ANYONE who wants to tell their story, give a reading, etc., like a professional)

WHERE: Unscrewed Theatre 3244 E. Speedway Tucson. (Eastbound side of Speedway. Between Alvernon and N. Country Club)

Penelope Starr and I had a blast doing this in April and got requests to do this workshop again. How could we say no? We’ll be back with:

Three hours packed with tips and tools for anyone who has the opportunity to tell their story, boost their elevator pitch, hit the open mic circuit, or just plain impress people with professional presentations–and enjoy the experience yourself. Lots of vocal variety, body language and eye contact tips, FEAR RIGHTERS, and microphone practice. The deal clincher–to do this in a safe, supportive environment.

FEE: $35 per person. Registration required. To reserve and for more info, contact Ethel.  PayPal or personal check to Ethel Lee-Miller.

Penelope Starr founded Odyssey Storytelling in 2004 and it’s been going strong ever since bringing innovative, entertaining and thought-provoking stories to the Tucson community each month. Penelope has put her experiences and tips in her how-to/memoir, The Radical Act of Community Storytelling: Empowering Voices in Uncensored Programs.

Ethel Lee-Miller uses her 20 years of Toastmasters International experiences along with teaching skills in her edu-entertainment presentations. Professional public speaking included topics like “Public Speaking Without Panic,” “Get Up and Talk About Your Writing,” and “ASK ASK ASK: Getting What You Want and Need in Professional and Personal Relationships.” She is the author of Thinking of Miller Place: A Memoir of Summer Comfort, and Seedlings, Stories of Relationships.
