Talking About Stroke Recovery
I’m very happy to announce I’ll be back at Tellers of Tales in Tucson for the March 1 meeting. “TOT” is a local storytelling organization sharing contemporary stories, folk tales, poetry, and music.
The March theme is “Marching Forward – Stories of Healing: Regain, Rebuild, Renew. “Miracles happen! Or is it our personal commitment to regain, rebuild, and renew that have brought inspirational transformations and life-changing moments in our lives? Your story might be your own story, or someone else’s, or perhaps it is of a community that helped one another overcome adversity.”
Stroke Recovery – always happening
I was honored to be asked to be the feature speaker. And decided, yes, it’s time to talk about my stroke recovery. I have written about my recovery in blogs and in my private stroke group newsletter. This invitation came at just the right time with a theme that fits smoothly with where I am 4 ½ years post stroke.“Crossing the Bridge In Recovery” shares various stops, tolls, traffic snarls, helpful hitchhikers, HOV lanes, and gentle humor in this journey. Yes, humor. Come join us.
Share Your Healing Story
TOT includes time for the audience to share a story (5-10 min.) that coincides with the theme. There is no fee, donations accepted. We meet in the lovely classroom #39 at Unscrewed Theater on 4500 E Speedway 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday March 1. Tellers of Tales
