Why join a writing group
We welcome adult writers (published, not published, just starting, resuming) of all genres to join us as we write. The Eastside Writing Room is not for instruction, sharing, or critiquing. It’s solely for writing.
People have mentioned that they could simply do their writing at home or at the coffee shop. Yes, true, and yet when I ask, “But do you actually do that?” there’s often a pause and shrug…
No time to write? No place in your house for quiet? Too many digital temptations or house/family chores? Commit and claim your two hours each Tuesday just for you and your writing. Sometimes we’re in the groove and the writing goes on for more than two hours.
When we meet and what we do for those two hours
TUESDAYS 11:30 AM-1:30 PM. Set your writing intention each week in a quiet, serene atmosphere. No interruptions. No cell phones. No fee. Join us each week or as your time allows. Two hours of quiet writing time. Wireless networking available. Hostess provides beverages. Feel free to bring a snack.
We begin at 11:30 but gather @ 11:15. Ten min. of writing talk, stating intentions for the two-hour writing session, and then writing on your own project—longhand, laptop, etc.
Where we meet
We rotate weekly among three Eastside Tucson locations. RSVP required.
