Beginning in September  “hosting” our ZOOM group is my happy opportunity. We’ll be writing every Tuesday. You can either come to Zoom or email intentions and know you are in the “company” of dedicated writers every Tuesday 11:00 AM-1:30 PM (MT)

What is the Eastside Writing Room?

Our purpose for the Eastside Writing Room remains the same. To claim writing time with no interruptions, no cell phones, no other chores. The pandemic has shifted our locations from host homes in Tucson AZ,  but has not impacted our commitment. Write from your desk, office, outside, in the park. Just not around our community table.

We keep our intentions concise and brief and then off we go to write. This is not a content share/critique group. We can do an optional share time following the intention statements if a bit of time is needed for successes, challenges, writing resources (tech people, books, websites).

Words are powerful- the words we write, think, and speak can hold influence, whether it’s with a group, on your social media pages, with your neighbor as you talk from a social distance, or in your home with your family.

Ethel Lee-Miller blogs regularly about people, the power of words, and the writing life. She’s retired from professional writing gigs after 30 years of teaching, coaching, editing, and gathering writers to publicly share their work. She is the author of Thinking of Miller Place, and Seedlings, Stories of Relationships. In retirement she’s writing to inspire, to connect with folks, and for the pure enjoyment of it, and sharing stories at Odyssey Storytelling Tucson Tellers of Tales, and anywhere there’s a Zoom mic.
