You plan, God laughs. – Murphy’s Law – Expect the unexpected. – First things first. – Life is what happens when you’re making other plans.
If I could, I’d be presenting a writing talk or workshop at least once a week. One of my passions is talking, or reading, or writing about writing, and being with writers. And then, life intervenes.
It’s probably a good thing I’m not in control of the world. I suspect my schedule would be overloaded and perhaps just a tad out of balance.
And since I’m not in the driver’s seat of life … life has tapped me on the shoulder and said, “Hey, there are a few things you need to take care of.” And those few things require my time, energy, heart, and emotions. Family and health related issues take the front seat. So there’s a bit of a gap in November and December on the ELM event list. Special events have been cleared from Oct. 26 until the new year. The Eastside Writing Room will still meet and I’ll be with my Atria colleagues once in November and December.
But I am certainly looking forward to 2016 to resume planning and presenting Writers Read, Writers Lunch, talks, and workshops. ‘Til then, write on!
